I used to be a big fan of bodybuilding. Arnold was my hero growing up and I really liked guys like Lee Labrada and Shawn Ray. They all were big, but they had very balanced bodies and a lot of guys wanted to look like them.

Then guys like Dorian Yates came along and made bigger the new thing. Now Dorian was great because while he was extremely large, he still looked well proportioned.

Since then though, guys have gotten too big and look silly. Their guts are huge when not flexed and they don't look even comfortable in their own skin. You're right, Arnold (still the greatest in my book) wouldn't place in the top 10, if he even made it to the Olympia.

To me, bodybuilding was something for the average gym rat to shoot for. We'd flip thru the magazines and think, "I want to look like that." Now, almost no one wants to be built like a bodybuilder, which I think has ruined the sport.
