Just became a Vegetarian – how will it effect my bodybuilding?

Bodybuilding Add comments

I’m a female amateur bodybuilder, but I cut out all animal products except for milk products – yogurt, cottage cheese, milk and cheese. I’m not eating soy. Will this diet decrease my testerone levels? Increase my estrogen levels? Slow my muscle development? Increase my fat storage?

You’re going to have to learn more about nutrition to ensure you body has sufficient nutritional protein to continue to build muscles mass. While some of the dairy products you still eat have protein, you’d need a high caloric load to get enough to support body building. What are your other sources of lean protein?

It will decrease your energy and u will lose all your muscles.

My above comment was pretty ignorant, just learn to eat lots of beans, as they are about your only meat-less option. Ask your local Mexican, they live on a diet of beans.
